Here is a list of tasks for AltLaw that have yet to be completed. Some of these require programming skills, others simply require time and effort. We will add links to more detailed descriptions of these tasks soon.

Downloading Cases

Metadata/Parsing

  • Extract other metadata (judges, appeals, counsel, ...)
  • ExtendQueryParser? to properly support proximity search (see ticket #2)
  • Search on "header" -- first 40 lines
  • Interactive query builder for complex queries
  • Debug and enhance search capabilities

Case Display

  • Better semantic markup of case headers
